The General Terms and Conditions of Sale detailed below only govern the contractual relationship between the company 4MURS SA, with a capital of €1,570,500 and whose head office is located at 74 rue Costes et Bellonte, 57155 Marly (France) and customers who wish to place an order on www.4murs.co.uk. These Terms and Conditions determine the sales conditions between www.4murs.co.uk and the customer, from the moment the order is placed and paid for until the goods have been delivered.

1. Prices of products sold online

The prices of products displayed are given in sterling pounds, including all taxes and excluding delivery charges. In the case of products presented on the website but not sold online, prices are indicative.

2. Wallcovering and paint samples

Customers can order samples of wallpapers, friezes, and borders as well as paint samples (a paint sample is a print of the colour shade of a paint on a sheet of card stock). The size of a wallpaper sample is the following: 21.0 x 29.7 cm (A4 size). The length of a frieze or border sample is 29.7 cm. The width varies depending on the height of the frieze or border. The size of a paint colour sample is the following: 5.94 x 21.0 cm. Wallcovering samples and paint samples are shipped by ordinary post. Processing fees for their preparation are charged at 80p (£0.80) per wallcovering/paint sample. Wallcovering/paint samples cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded.

3. Availability

Customers are informed of product availability in the product description found on each product page.

4. Payment and transaction security

Payments for orders are made online. The following payment options are allowed:

  • Debit / Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Bancontact)
  • PayPal
  • 4MURS e-Gift card

The customer's account will be debited once the order has been dispatched. Online payments are secured by SSL protocol. The encryption ensures that banking data remain confidential. As such, they cannot be read when they are entered and in the event of transfers made online. For all transactions, customers are connected to the server of the payment processing centre, for which the bank Banque CIC is responsible. Bank data is not transferred by 4MURS and is not saved on 4MURS servers. For this reason, customers must enter this information each time they place an order. The data is encrypted. To fight against fraud, in some cases 4MURS may ask customers to provide proof of identity and the bank card used for payment. The documents provided are used only to process orders and are destroyed as soon as they have been checked. Orders are processed after the documents have been received. If customers do not wish to share these documents or if the documents received do not conform to the requirements, the order will be cancelled. A 4MURS e-Gift card can be used to pay for purchases on www.4murs.co.uk, combined with a different accepted payment method if necessary. Only one e-Gift card can be used per order.

5. Delivery charges for the UK mainland

Delivery charges vary only depending on the delivery method and not according to the order weight or number of items ordered:

  • Standard home delivery £6.95 (3-5 business days)
  • Express home delivery £9.95 (*next day)

*provided the order is made and confirmed before 12 noon CET, excluding French bank holidays.
*with the exception of the Scottish Highlands, for which the delay is 2-3 business days

For orders made up of samples only, delivery charges do not apply (for more information: 2. Samples). The processing fee is 80p (£0.80) per sample.

6. Terms of delivery in the UK

Delivery is made to the customer's home in the UK mainland. We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes. Each order is processed as soon as it is confirmed, from Monday to Friday, excluding French and local bank holidays.

  • Standard home delivery with DPD (So Colissimo's partner in the UK): the products are delivered to the address indicated by the customer within a maximum of 5 working days from the confirmation of the order. In the event of absence at the time of delivery, a notice is left in the customer's mailbox. The parcel(s) will be waiting at the post office, whose address is indicated on the transit advice note. All packages are kept for 10 working days. After this period, the package will be returned to 4MURS.
  • Express home delivery with Chronopost: provided the order is made and confirmed before 12 noon CET, the products are delivered to the address indicated by the customer the following day before 1 p.m., excluding French and local bank holidays. The delay for the Scottish Highlands is 2-3 days. In the event of absence at the time of delivery, a notice is left in the customer's mailbox. The parcel(s) will be waiting at the post office, whose address is indicated on the transit advice note. All packages are kept for 10 working days. After this period, the package will be returned to 4MURS.

7. International delivery charges

Delivery charges vary only depending on the country of delivery selected and not according to the order weight or number of items ordered:

  • Group 1: Luxembourg, Netherlands, and Poland: £8.95
  • Group 2: Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Sweden: £17.95
  • Group 3: Spain: £25.95
  • Groupe 4: Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Greece, and Portugal: £42.95
  • Group 5: Romania: £51.95

For orders made up of samples only, delivery charges do not apply (for more information: 2. Samples). The processing fee is 80p (£0.80) per sample.

8. Terms of international delivery

Orders will be shipped via standard delivery to the address indicated by the customer in the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.

4murs does not deliver to the following islands/territories:
- Büsingen and Helgoland Island (Germany),
- Faroe Islands, Greenland (Denmark),
- the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla (Spain),
- the Aland Islands (Finland),
- Mount Athos (Greece),
- Campione d'Italia, Livigno, San Marino and the Vatican (Italy),
- Jersey, Guernsey (UK)

Each order is processed as soon as it is confirmed, from Monday to Friday, excluding French and local bank holidays.

Delivery is carried out by Colissimo and its partner carrier in the UK: DPD.

Products are delivered to the address indicated by the customer within a time frame that depends on the country of delivery (delivery times are counted in working days, i.e. excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays):

  • Austria: 3-4 days
  • Bulgaria: 5-7 days
  • Croatia: 4-7 days
  • Czech Republic: 4-5 days
  • Denmark:4-5 days
  • Estonia: 6-7 days
  • Finland: 4-5 days
  • Greece: 5-7 days
  • Hungary: 5-6 days
  • Ireland: 4-5 days
  • Italy: 3-5 days
  • Latvia: 6-7 days
  • Lithuania: 5-6 days
  • Luxembourg: 3-4 days
  • Netherlands: 3-4 days
  • Poland: 5-6 days
  • Portugal: 4-5 days
  • Romania: 4-6 days
  • Slovakia: 4-5 days
  • Slovenia: 5-6 days
  • Spain: 3-4 days
  • Sweden: 4-6 days

If the customer is not home at the time of delivery, the parcel will be made available in a collection point. The customer will be notified of its availability and the address of the collection point in question. Delivery times vary depending on the country of delivery:

  • Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia: parcel available for 5 days
  • Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden: parcel available for 10 days
  • Bulgaria: parcel available for 20 days
  • Romania: parcel available for 30 days

If it turns out that the parcel is damaged (open, signs of damage, etc.) or if any products are missing due to damage during transport, the customer has a right to refuse the parcel. The customer will be required to fill in a consignment note, indicating "Refusal due to damage". If the customer does not receive their parcel within the indicated delivery time, they should contact customer service through the "Help & Contact" section. After the customer service team has examined the situation and reached an agreement with the customer, 4MURS will redeliver the parcel or issue a refund.

9. Returns

Customers can return any product in its original packaging within 2 months from the date that the goods are received. Customers must ensure that the returned goods are in good condition, are unopened, and are in the original packaging. If the returned goods are defective, customers must be sure to include the original packaging for those products. Items must be placed in the parcel securely.

  • In order to obtain your pre-filled returns shipping label, please contact customer service in the Help & Contact section. Let us know that you want to make a return, and we will send you the pre-filled in returns shipping label via e-mail. Next, print out the label and drop off your parcel at the nearest Royal Mail post office.
  • Returns charges are a flat rate of £5.95, which will be deducted from your reimbursement.

10. Refund

If an order is returned in full, 4MURS refunds the price of the products as well as the delivery charges. If only one or several products are returned (i.e. not the entire order), only the price of the products will be refunded, less our £5.95 flat rate charge for returns. Delivery charges are refunded in the event of an error on the part of 4MURS (defective item, delivery error, etc.). Refunds are processed at the earliest opportunity and within a maximum of 14 days from the date that the returned items are received. Depending on the payment method chosen by the customer at the time of placing the order, the refund will be made by credit, to the customer's debit card, credit card, or PayPal account.

11. Guarantees

All products sold on the website www.4murs.co.uk are subject to a legal guarantee of conformity, set out by Articles L 211-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, and to a guarantee against hidden defects, set out by Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.

Because 4MURS takes the greatest care to protect its customers' and prospective customers' personal data, it is committed to respecting the provisions:

By using our website, creating a customer account, subscribing to the newsletter or placing an order, you declare that you have accepted the terms of this privacy policy without reservation.

- To process and track your orders, deliveries and billing,
- To answer your questions via our customer service department,
- To manage outstanding debt and disputes,
- To combat fraud,
- To adapt the presentation of our website to suit your device (mobile, computer or tablet).

Subject to your consent, this data also allows us to:

- Personalise our communications in line with your interests (according to your purchase history),

D. Commercial solicitations

4MURS will ask for your explicit consent before sending you any marketing communications. Without your consent, you will not be sent marketing communications.
The date of consent, its source, and the date of any modifications to said consent are automatically archived in our computer system.

E. Data sharing

4MURS agrees not to sell your personal data to partner brands for marketing purposes. Your data is stored for the exclusive use of 4MURS.

F. Storage of personal data

Browsing data (cookies, tags) is retained for a maximum rolling period of twelve (12) months.

In order to determine the appropriate storage period, 4MURS makes a distinction between prospective customers and customers.
The personal data of prospective customers is retained for three (3) months from the date of the last positive and explicit contact from the prospective customer. With regard to prospective customers, the starting point for the storage period corresponds to the date of newsletter subscription without purchase or the creation of a customer account without purchase.

Customers' personal data is retained for an indefinite period. It will be deleted if the customer should exercise their right to be forgotten. In this case, the customer's personal data will be anonymised. With regard to the customer, the starting point for the storage period corresponds to the date of their most recent purchase made on the website. If the customer is inactive, i.e. has not made a purchase in the last three (3) years, the customer's personal data will be erased.

Navigation data (cookies, tags) are stored for a maximum period of twelve (12) months.

As for contractual data, it is retained and archived for the period necessary to fulfil the contractual obligations (delivery, guarantee, etc.) as well as legal, accounting and taxation obligations.

G. Exercising your rights

In accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data, you can:
- Access all of your personal data,
- Rectify or update your data if it is inaccurate or incomplete,
- Request the right to portability of your data,
- Object to the processing of your date,
- Request the anonymisation of your data.

You can exercise your rights at any time by sending a request to our customer service department via the Help and Contact section of our website. To prevent illegal access to personal data, communication will only occur through e-mail, using the address provided earlier and linked to the customer account in question.

In addition, if you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter, you can:
- Click on the unsubscribe link which is included in every e-mail sent by 4MURS,
- Notify us of your wish to unsubscribe via your customer account in the Newsletter section of your My account area.

14. Applicable law and competent court

The language of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale is French. These General Terms and Conditions are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, only the Metz (France) Commercial Court will be competent.
